These animals have all found their ‘fur’ever homes!!

Fflewddur

princeThis is Fflewddur (the kitty formerly known as “Prince”).  Fflewddur was adopted in August 2012 by Jonella W and her family. Jonella tells us that he’s ruling the roost at his new home now. He is named after a character in the book “The Chronicles of Prydain” by Lloyd Alexander. He’s the king of the house!

We are so happy that Fflewddur is doing well and we thank Jonella W and her family for adopting him, for saving a life!

Bosley

Bosley was a dog that was found living in a secluded country cemetery, that was abandoned and so shy he wouldn’t let anyone get near him.  For a few months several people took turns going out to feed/water him (including the kind folks that were able to catch and keep his sibling).  Once it was brought to the attention of the dog warden, he was able to set a live trap to catch Bosley and bring him in to the shelter where he could receive some much needed TLC.  Within a few weeks, Bosley had warmed up to people a great deal and was able to be adopted out to a wonderful family who sent us the following letter:

Hello everyone!
We wanted to let you know that Bosley is adjusting very well to his new human and dog family! While he was a bit timid the first night he has since made himself at home on the couch and enjoys trying to get the ribbon off of the Christmas tree and distract his human from getting work done by stealing her notebook! He enjoys playing in the yard with his furry friends, keeping watch for unwanted visitors and relaxing with his new best friend Bear!

We cannot thank you enough for allowing us the great opportunity to be Bosley’s forever home!

  • Ogie is the most gentle boy you would ever want to meet. He’s easy going, shares his toys, loves kids, loves to swim and tolerates cats. He is a ball of playful, wonder, lovable, cuddly Joy. Ogie was originally brought into to our shelter in August of 2011. We were running out of room so we had to transfer him to Animal Friends in Pittsburgh. Ogie was given his forever home in Sept of 2011 and his family just adores him!
